Mixed Media Altered Bird Cage "Smile of Spring" / Mixed Media ptičja kletka "Nasmeh pomladi"

Hello. Although it's still winter, my thoughts are already at the spring. The bird's cage was my inspiration to combine a mixed media with beautiful Fabrika Decoru papers "Smile of Spring". In an open bird cage, I tried to "catch" the scented spring. Under the blooming waterfall, which is bursting at the cage, I’ve imagined a bird family. Mother and father, aunt and uncle, already eagerly await bird puppies. Even the roe deer nearby are looking forward to a new life. And today the photos tell their own story.
Pozdravljeni. Čeprav je še zima, so moje misli že pri pomladi. Ptičja kletka je bila moj navdih, da sem skombinirala mixed medio s čudovitimi Fabrika Decoru papirji "Smile of Spring". V odprti ptičji kletki sem poskušala "ujeti" dišečo pomlad. Pod cvetočim slapom, ki se bohoti ob kletki, sem pričarala ptičjo družinico. Mama in ata, teta in stric, že nestrpno pričakujejo ptičje mladičke. Tudi srne, ki so v bližini, se veselijo novega življenja. Pa naj danes fotografije govorijo svojo zgodbico.

Mixed Media Heart Canvas “Forever right beside you” / Platno srce “Za vedno ob tebi”

"Forever right beside you, there are no stronger ties"

Hello my dear crafty friends. Today, I have a special release for you. After a very long time, I again took the canvas in my hands and I created with mixed media. I turned the canvas, because I wanted the effect of depth. I was inspired by the February challenge on More Than Words and Lindy's Gang February colours challenge. I used a black and white photo for my main motive. The photo was taken by a professional photographer in 2013 by the river, where we had a family photo shooting. I think that the strongest ties are between brothers and sisters. And they are always with you...in the sad and happy moments. So I've used Lindy's spray Sweet Violet Purple Teat and few Magical powders: Pop Rock Purple, Raspberry Lemonade and Hibiscus Rose.

Pozdravljeni. Danes imam za vas prav posebno objavo. Po zelo dolgem času sem v roke vzela platno, ki sem ga ustvarila v mixed medii - mešani tehniki. Platno sem obrnila, ker sem želela efekt globine. Navdih sem dobila na februarskem izzivu More Than Words, kjer želijo videti besedo "Forever" in na februarskem barvnem izzivu Lindy's Gang. Za osrednji motiv sem uporabila črno-belo fotografijo mojih treh srčkov, ki jo je posnela profesionalna fotografinja Tina Brinar, na Poljani ob reki Meži leta 2013. Mislim, da so najmočnejše vezi med brati in sestrami, ki vedno stojilo ob strani...v žalostnih in srečnih trenutkih. Uporabila sem Lindy's sprej Sweet Violet Purple Teat in nekaj Magical prahcov: Pop Rock Purple, Raspberry Lemonade in Hibiscus Rose.

# 3. Step by Step Tutorial Mixed Media Altered Masquerade Mask / Pustna maska

You need:

- black gesso

- white gesso

- tiny stones - sand

- Lindy's spray

- Lindy's Magical powder

- different chipboards

- embossing stamp pad

- embossing powder

- paper flowers

- heat tool

Potrebujemo:

- črni gesso

- beli geso

- drobni kamen - pesek

- Lindy's sprej

-Lindy's Magical prahce

- različne laserske izrezke

-embosirno gobico

-embosirni prah

- papirnate rožice

-grelnik - fen

Step 1

The mask is on both sides painted with a black gesso.

1. korak

Masko na obeh straneh pobarvamo z črnim gessom.

Step 2
While the dye is dried, prepare a mixture: a few teaspoons of black gesso and fine stones are mixed well.

2. korak

Medtem ko se barva suši, si pripravimo mešanico: nekaj žličk črnega gessa in drobnega kamna, ki ju dobro zmešamo.

Step 3
Apply a mixture to the outside of the mask with a brush.

3. korak

Na zunanjo stran maske z čopičem nanašamo mešanico.

Step 4

When the color is dried, the white gesso is slightly applied to the mask. This is so that sprays and dusts are well observed. If you want, you can omit the white gesso and you will get a different color effect.

Ko se barva posuši, na masko rahlo nanesemo še beli gesso. To pa zato, da se bodo spreji in prahci lepo opazili. Če želite, lahko beli gesso izpustite in tako boste, dobili različen efekt barve.

Step 5
How do we use Magical Powders? There are two steps:
a) spray the desired surface with water and then add powder(s) or
b) apply some powder to the desired surface (apply with a brush or spoon) and then spray with water
I use both steps. I also used Lindy's spray, which can be diluted with water if desired. At the end of the paint dry with a heat tool.

Kako uporabimo Magical prahce? Lahko na dva načina:

a) da željeno površino naprej poškropite z vodo in nato dodate prahec / prahce ali

b) da na željeno površino naprej nanesete nekaj prahca (nanašate lahko z čopičem ali žličko) in nato poškropite z vodo

Jaz uporabljam oba načina. Uporabila sem tudi Lindy's sprej, ki ga lahko po želji redčite z vodo. Na koncu barve posušimo še z grelnikom.

Step 6

When the color is dry, add some chipbords, which you can colouring with Magical powder or emboss them. I embossed the inscription "Let's do a little Magic" and the others chipboards painted with Magical powder.

6. korak

Ko je barva suha, dodamo še nekaj chipbordov, ki jih lahko po želji pobavate z Magical prahci ali pa jih embosirate. Jaz sem napis embosirala, ostale pa sem pobarvala z prahci.

Mixed Media Altered Masquerade Mask / Mixed Media pustna maska

Hello my dear crafty friends. How are you today? Here in Slovenia, the last days it's snowing and our three children are very happy and excited. And I already miss the spring and warm weather. So I made in mixed media an altered masquerade mask "Let's do a little Magic". The colour inspiration was from Lindy's Gang February Challenge, which I really like it. I used spray "Sweet Violet Purple Teal" and powders Magical "Pop Rock Purple" and "Raspberry Lemonade". I added some Scrapiniec chipboards: words "Believe in Magic", stitches XL and hearts "Lavender Mist". On the hearts I added also the roses. I hope, that carnival masks will send away the cold winter. Also mine. Here is also step by step tutorial.

Pozdravljeni. Kako ste? Pri nas že nekaj časa sneži in naši otroci so zelo veseli ter navdušeni. Jaz pa že pogrešam pomlad in toplo vreme. V mixed medii sem postarala pustno masko "Let's do a little Magic". Barvna inspiracija je od Lindy's Gang februarskega izziva, ki mi je zelo všeč. Uporabila sem: sprej "Sweet Violet Purple Teal" in prahca Magical "Pop Rock Purple" in "Raspberry Lemonade". Dodala sem še nekaj Scrapiniec izrezkov: napis "Belive in Magic", šive XL in srca "Lavender Mist". Na srci sem dodala tudi vrtnici. Upam, da bodo pustne maske pregnale hladno zimo. Tudi moja. Gift Envelope “Snowman” / Darilna kuverta “Snežak”

Good morning my dear crafty friends and welcome to the blog today. Here in Slovenia we woke up in the snowy morning. And this gift envelope is just perfect for such a white day. In the envelope we can “hide” a gift coupon for cinema, massage or coupon for flight with an air balloon or wrote a beautiful thoughts. For this envelope I’ve used paper from Maja Design collection “I wish”. I hope you like it! I wish you a pleasant weekend.

Dobro jutro in dobrodošli na mojem blogu. Danes smo se zbudili v zasneženo jutro in ta darilna kuverta je ravno pravšnja za beli dan. Vanjo lahko “skrijemo” darilni bon za kino, masažo, polet z zračnim balonom itd. ali pa napišemo čudovite misli. Uporabila sem Maja Design papir, kolekcijo “I wish” in upam, da vam je všeč. Želim vam prijeten vikend.
